Venus Retrograde in Scorpio: The Point of No Return

Venus is the planet associated with what we love, our values will be going retrograde in Scorpio from 3 October 2026 at 8° and will station direct at 22° of Libra on the 14 November. Funny enough I remember this transit quite well in 2018, I was able to observe a transformation in the values I held and the values that the people around me held. Once again, I have been reflecting on my values and past relationships and I have been wondering about the person I use to be and how I got here, the truth is this was not a journey I planned or could have seen coming, that is the case most of the time. I recently watched the Barbie movie and Ella Enchanted and one thing stuck with me, why did both Barbie and Ella decide to stay in the human world instead of going back to the world that they once knew? Why is it as human beings when we follow different paths and when we come back to a place, we use to call home which is now unfamiliar; we decide to call the underworld home. The conclusion I have come to is related to the hero’s journey, for those of you that do not know the hero’s journey is basically the template for how a ‘hero’ is made. Joseph Campbell has explained this amazingly in his work; the hero sets on a path away from home and familiar to the unknown and basically faces multiple trials and tribulations with the aid of some helpers along the way. Once the journey has been completed the hero ventures back home to share what they have learned or gained. However, they find that home has not changed and they may struggle to reintegrate themselves into the life they once knew and they choose something else, another unknown. This Venus retrograde in Scorpio is nudging us towards to unknown, undetermined choices and values because the truth is the way we have been living our life is no longer sustainable and going back to what we once knew is not an option as we will remain changed. Depending on where this Venus retrograde is happening for you, you may find that if it is in your 2nd house you will be reassessing the way that you use your money, removing the excess finances that you can no longer support, in your 9th the values related to old philosophies may feel like they have washed away and now you have to rely on the philosophies that support you in your experience. The astrological association of Venus in Scorpio is 7 of cups, further corroborating the nudge towards the unknown however with that comes the unfamiliar outcome, during this time we may feel like we have been left at the bottom of pit with no real choices but if you look beyond the smoke and mirrors you’ll find that what you actually need is not the actual outcome to reflect your internal ideals but for your outcome to reflect your truth.
